We're drowning in Jira tickets and nobody knows what's priority anymore

Our 15-person startup switched to Jira about 6 months ago and honestly it's gotten worse. We have like 400 open tickets, nobody reads the board, and our PM spends half her day just triaging stuff. I feel like we need something way simpler where you just open it up and immediately see what matters today. Has anyone found a tool that actually keeps things visible without all the enterprise bloat?

Best PM tool for a team switching from spreadsheets?

We've been running everything on Google Sheets for 2 years (about 8 people) and it's honestly falling apart. Formulas break, people overwrite each other's stuff, and there's zero automation. Looking for something that can import our existing data and doesn't require a CS degree to set up. Budget is around $10-15/user/month. Any recommendations?

How do you manage projects across multiple clients?

I run a small agency (6 people) and we juggle about 8 clients at any given time. Right now each PM uses whatever they want - some use Trello, one uses Notion, another just has a notepad lol. It's chaos when someone is out sick and nobody can figure out where things stand. Need something centralized that separates each client but lets me see everything at a glance.

Our dev team needs better sprint planning - what do you use?

We're a team of 12 devs and we've been doing "sprints" in Google Docs which is... not great. Scope creep is insane because there's no backlog management, stories just get added mid-sprint with no discussion. Last 3 sprints we hit maybe 60% of planned work. Looking for something with proper backlog, sprint boards, and velocity tracking. We use GitHub so integration there would be nice.

Freelancers - how do you keep track of all your projects and deadlines?

I'm a freelance designer juggling 5 clients right now and I keep dropping balls. Missed a revision deadline last week and the client was NOT happy. I've tried sticky notes, Apple Reminders, even a bullet journal but nothing sticks (pun intended). What do you all use? Ideally something simple that I can check on my phone too.

I've tried Asana, Monday, and ClickUp and none of them stick

Every few months our team (5 people, marketing agency) tries a new PM tool. We did Asana for 3 months, Monday for 2, and ClickUp for about 6 weeks. The problem is always the same: too many features nobody uses, the UI gets cluttered fast, and by week 4 people just go back to Slack threads for task tracking. Is there anything out there that's deliberately simple? Like I just want boards, due...
